He can call himself what he wants. The Zogbys consider themselves "moderate" and "independent" too. He associates with and promotes radical Islamic groups. Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it ain't a chicken.

I don't know if this is accurate or not. But I do remember 20 years ago hearing a network radio newscast breathlessly exclaim how Walter Mundane (Mondale) was nearly even with President Reagan in the polls. This was no more than 3 weeks out. We all know what happened in that one.
Not that I expect a landslide but can a liberal win, especially when National Security is the PRIMARY issue.
