I asked a Jewish friend who I went to college with why the Jewish vote leaned so heavily towards the Democrats. His answer was instructive.
"Jews cannot support Republicans because they view them mostly as Evangelical Christians who hijacked their Messiah and Torah.
"Jews cannot support Republicans because they view them mostly as Evangelical Christians who hijacked their Messiah and Torah.
They would rather support Democrats that are mostly anti-Jew, anti-God, and don't believe in the Tora or the Messiah.
Smart.....
This statement is completely wrong. Observant Jews overwhelmingly support Bush as do Jews under the age of 30. The problem is that the majority of non-observant secular Jews don't care about Israel's well being. They are more concerned with liberalism. The old saying is that you cant teach an old dog new tricks. That may be true in this case but some of us are coming around.
And in what madrassah did he learn that?
"Jews cannot support Republicans because they view them mostly as Evangelical Christians who hijacked their Messiah and Torah.""
Haaaaaa, haaaa, haaaaa!!
Well, that's a first for me. 'Jacked the Messiah. Last time I checked the Jewish and Christian Conservative communities still respectfully disagree on the identity of the Messiah, and the Jews are still in ownership of the Torah.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
