Bush Signs Stolen Again! - Round 3

My brother (who has now joined FR as 'ReasonablyConservativePatriot' - woohoo!) had his homemade Bush signs stolen after his Bush - Cheney 04 signs were stolen. You can view his 1st set of replacements at Bush Sign Stolen - Worthy Replacements and his comment HERE.

So far, nobody has bothered my sign but I live in the country on a dead-end road with only about 30 houses. To date, nobody has erected a sKerry sign so this is Bush Country in an F'n blue state! According to the latest polls, Michigan can go either way and I'm doing what I can to make that a reality - working the phone bank in Waterford.

The Minnesota GOP has erected a site that documents all the attacks on conservative free speech in their state - When Angry Democrats Attack. I'm not aware of a similar site by Michigan republicans. If anyone finds one, please post the link here. Otherwise, I will start one.

It would definitely identify the perp, and the bonus feature of having them (literally) stuck with the object of their hatred!

One substance that truly works is graphite lubricant - it's sort of a powdery liquid. You have no idea when you are touching it, until much later when you look at yourself and see that it leaves a HUGE mess of fingerprints everywhere. Works great on doorknobs and mailboxes (to stop mail theft).

Get some of the adhesive rat traps and attach them around the outside of the sign in the back of it with the sticky side facing outward. The thief will have sticky goo all over their hands.

I would put two new signs up for every one that they stole.

Insulate the sign and wrap some electric fence wire around the base, fire it up and try to catch it on video. :-D

Iodine crystals mixed with ammonia nitrate makes a great deterrent. (at least it did in college.)

My Bush/Cheney signs were taken last night, and a Kerry sign left in its place! Mys husband saw it as he pulled out of our driveway this morning, and ripped up the Kerry sign and left it on the lawn. I just cleaned it all up.

I AM LIVID!!!!

I am in Austin, TX and haven't decided what to do as my reply. Any suggestions?
