New York Broadcaster Don Imus tells TIME George Bush is going to win the election. Im not going to vote for him, but I think he connects better with the American people, and I think the Administration has scared people to death. And I think people resent having John Fogerty and Jon Bon Jovi tell them who to vote for.
Bush is probably a decent guy, but hes in way over his head. I think he got gun-shy as a result of that heisting of the election in 2000. I dont think he ever even thought of himself as a legitimate President. And rather than try to govern by some sort of consensus or at least involve some other points of view, hes tried to make up for it by this arrogant conduct of foreign policy. By the way, its not like I think Senator Kerry would be much better.
Imus, 64, tells TIME hes not retiring any time soon: I dont have any timetable, but I dont think Ill be capable of pulling a Mike Wallace. Gum is already falling out of my mouth. But Im not wetting myself or anything like that. I mean, its fun, and I like doing it. As long as people fear me, Ill do it.

Imus is all about the 'get' -- who he can get to call into his program. Kerry will call; Bush will not. Hence, Imus votes for Kerry. It's as simple as that.
Bill O'Reilly has lately fallen into the same category, and he too has lost all credibility.

Govern by consensus?
Isn't that the very definition of a weak leader?
Bill Clinton governed by consensus(POLLS) and look how wonderfully that all turned out...
I think that Bush has showed the hallmarks of a great leader by governing and leading by what he thinks is right regardless of its popularity...Kerry can diffidently not say that about his career...

To: LuigiBasco
I like Imus and his endorsement of Kerry is more of a negative to Kerry than a positive. Imus continually waiver son the show. Remember folks, he is an entertainer, but he does have a knack for understanding how Americans think and he is predicting a Bush win.

Actually.. .no. . .it's a definition of a weak follower. A leader, any leader, LEADS. . .and governing by consensus is not leading it's letting the political winds blow you all over the place.

CANCEL IMUS Imus plays here at about 2 AM. I've seen him a couple of times. Imus and his crew remind me of Beavis & Butthead.

I think the Administration has scared people to death. I think that the idea of a Kerry administration scares Americans more.

Yeah. . .and if Bush tried that mealymouthed consensus "leading" with the democrats, Imus would be telling everyone Bush never thought of himself as a legitimate president BECAUSE he went the consensus route instead of LEADING.
To: AmishDude
Well, if Imus says so... Sometimes he comes up with a gem. Kerry takes 20 minutes to explain his position on Iraq and Imus answers:
(paraphrase)I have no idea what you said.

"heisting the election"
"never thought of himself as a legitimate President"
??????????????????
Imus must be back to snorting!
