Better yet, run a second ad like below with a photo of the WTC deaths and damage after the 1993 bombing, when Clinton treated terrorism as a "nuisance".

Those photos you posted of the plane hitting the WTC and your word, "Nuisance????", under it - That's a big time effective Bush ad right there. Just change it (for the non-news junkie) to, "John Kerry referred to this event as a "nuisance"!. Just 12 seconds on the TV screen followed by "Re-elect President Bush!"

REALLY? Any links to/info on the "ad" quoting Kerry on this?

I almost lose hope when our side doesn't take advantage of these "softball" opportunities to CRUSH the competition.

I'd run this quote juxtaposed with some 9/11 footage, with a voiceover talking about the definition of the word "nuisance". Yep. 3,500 lives lost. One heck of a "nuisance".

This idiot is NOT fit to be Commander in Chief. PERIOD.

Hey - I wasn't defending Kerry - For God sakes! All I want is for us to be careful -

The media - they are out for blood - and will use every thing they can find to get it - !

I was just trying to point out that he never speaks clearly - and I think that is on purpose - !

Peace -

Wouldn't that be Sept. 10, 2001? No thanks, Senator Kerry.

Yes, it's in the NY Times Magazine article:

"When [the reporter] asked Kerry what it would take for Americans to feel safe again, he displayed a much less apocalyptic worldview [than Bush]. ''We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance,'' Kerry said. ''As a former law-enforcement person, I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life.'' "

I'm sure the terrorists would say the feeling is mutual.

nuisance

In the overwhelming numbness you felt
looking for the father
who, unknown to you
had turned into dust,
fragments
and precious memories,
little did you know
you became a nuisance,
a statistic,
a faceless person
to a man who claims the right to lead you.

In the fear and agony you felt,
looking for the baby you would never hold again,
ripped from your life, but not your heart
that Oklahoma morning,
As you stood there, clutching his teddy to your chest,
who would have guessed
your loss would be just a nuisance,
like a woman looking for customers
in the shadows of the evening
to the man who claims the right to lead you.

Pain
loss,
suffering
unsearched for,
unasked for,
a nuisance,
not the reality of life-wrenching tragedy
to make someone else's point,
this
is like being ripped open again
in the name of votes.

I agree. That's probably the only reason he is able to sleep at night. If he understood what he said, he would scare the **** out of himself.

That is an incredible quote, talk about complete pre-911 thinking....it's inconceivable he could be that naive. I mean it will take decades before we can ever get to that point, if ever!. I can't decide if he is just incredibly deluded or just paln out of his mind

Newest Bush/Cheney ad: "World View"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "World View." John Kerry first said defeating terrorism was more about law enforcement than a strong military operation and now compares terrorists to a "nuisance" like gambling and prostitution. The ad asks how Kerry can protect us when he does not understand the threat we face.

The ad will run on national cable and on the Bush-Cheney '04 website. Satellite downlink coordinates for "World View" will be released later.

Script For "World View"

Voice Over: First, Kerry said defeating terrorism was really MORE about law enforcement and intelligence than a strong military operation...

More about law enforcement than a strong military?

Now Kerry says... We have to get back to the place where terrorists are a nuisance like gambling and prostitution... we're never going to end them.

Terrorism... a nuisance?

How can Kerry protect us when he doesn't understand the threat?

President Bush: I'm George W. Bush and I approve this message.
