Edwards now says the Bush administration should have known better than to liberate Iraq but here's what Edwards was saying back when the possibility of war was still being debated. Reprinted from the Sept. 19, 2002, Washington Post.
Congress Must Be Clear Quick action will ensure that politics plays no part in the debate about Iraq
THE debate over Iraq is not about politics. It is about national secu rity. It should be clear that our na tional security requires Congress to send a clear message to Iraq and the world: America is united in its determination to eliminate forever the threat of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

NY Post -- the "Memory Hole" rescue squad!
If Bush in the 3 weeks running up to election day doesn't quote these to idiots running against him liberally, in TV and Radio ads, and utterly torpedo their lying butts then I don't know anything.
The Bush Campaign MUST have a 2 or 3 weeks to go plan ready--these two are made for it.
This is great! This in a one ad tells it all. I am so upset that the left has politicized this war to gain back the WhiteHouse...I hope America sees it clearly and I urge everyone to clink on this link and send it to at least two friends today!
Ms. Hughes reads FR?
I totally agree with your statement. Kerry just gave us fresh ammunition, as posted on another FR thread - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1240718/posts
He's been quoted as saying, "We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance. As a former law-enforcement person, I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life.''
How in the world this idjit even has 30% of America's support is absolutely beyond me.
I have been long convinced that, given the forces arrayed against him (Liberal press lying for his opponent) and the nature of ALL presidential campaigns (their length especially), Bush is holding in abayence the REALLY BIG GUNS, ie: film and audio of John Kerry saying two, three or four different things as his political needs dictate.
There is no 'there' there when it comes to kerry. He gets away with it because the press ACTS as if he should be taken seriously.
That is an aspect of the biased press the Limbaugh doesn't give enough respect to. Mr Optimisim thinks they are going down and are on the wane but look at who is actually a serious contender fo the WH and look at how FLAWED he is as a man, candidate and politician.

Absolutely. In addition, it's my feeling that when you look at how close this race has been, you see how dangerous is the apathy with which the average voter (read that marginal Democrat) keeps abreast of just who it is they support.
Look at the commercials with which the left is spurring on the modern-day New Voter: you have a duty to vote! You have no responsibility to know WHY, you just have a duty to vote.
So Kerry is now equating 9/11 to red light districts in major cities. This has got to be good fodder for a campaign commercial.
Karl Rove had the campaign ready 9 months in advance.
Although I'm confident Rove is able to adjust to new situations .. the BASIC PLAN was already set.
