Bush and our armed forces in Afghanistan have had more effect on bringing freedom from abuse to women than Kerry ever could claim.

Ins't THAT the truth! You know, a few years ago, an ultra left-wing artist friend of ours sent me an email asking me to sign a PETITION to the UN addressing the treatment of women by the Taliban in Afghanistan. I told her that signing it would be a waste of energy because a PETITION would never gain a person's freedom.
Yesterday women VOTED in Afghanistan. I just sat there crying at my computer looking at the pictures of those women, waiting in line to VOTE...they are actually VOTING. Sure, there is still a long way to go for these women, but, I don't think people grasp the enormity of that fact that they were allowed to vote.
President Bush and our brave troops gave these long-suffering women a new life. How come NOW isn't lauding him as a friend of women? Oh, I forgot...because he doesn't think abortion is a good idea. UGH!
