Other than the borders thing, regarding which Kerry is worse, what we have here is a guy in the pay of the ACLU. The guy is whining about the Patriot Act in general, without one word about foreign policy or terrorists, and their plans for the US. Pathetic, but then I never supported Barr ever. I had his number early on.

I don't trust Bob Barr at all. That being said, I only fear the Patriot Act in one scenario: where an unethical Democrat decides to play dirty tricks with it's provisos (get a dirty judge and you can lock someone up indefinitely, search without warrants etc...) I only worry when it is in the hands of a Democrat President like Clinton or Kerry... But, in the time of war, we make compromises we later have to fix. Free Speech vs "Loose Lips Sink Ships"

Bob Barr has become a puzzle. Why come out three weeks before an unbelievably tight election and throw sand in the president's face? He has to know that fighting the war and creating an entire new department for homeland security has caused the body of the deficit. Larry Kudlow knows it, Bob Barr must have heard rumors. This makes no sense.
