Kerry's Undeclared War :: He doesn't believe we are really at war
New York Times Magazine ^ | October 10,2004 | Matt Bai

Posted on 10/09/2004 6:55:00 PM PDT by PJBlogger

As New York and Washington were under attack on Sept. 11, 2001, a film crew happened to come upon John Kerry leaving the Capitol. The brief moment of footage, included in a BBC documentary called ''Clear the Skies,'' tells us something, perhaps, about Kerry in a crisis. The camera captures Congressional aides and visitors, clearly distraught and holding onto one another, streaming down the back steps of the Capitol building in near panic, following the bellowed instructions of anxious police. Off to one side of the screen, there is Kerry, alone, his long legs carrying him calmly down the steps, his neck craning toward the sky, as if he were watching a gathering rainstorm. His face and demeanor appear unworried. Kerry could be a man lost in his thoughts who just happens to have wandered onto the set of a disaster film.

This is the second "hit" piece on Kerry by the NYTimes. He has no real plan, no strategy, no vision, and he doesn't really believe we are really at war. ......with friends like these.....

He know we are at war, he is just supporting the ENEMY against us.

Kerry and the Ayatollahs (Kerry's letter to Iran, blaming the US) (REPOST/REMINDER)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1240485/posts

On Feb. 8, the Tehran Times published a letter that Mr. Kerry's office sent to an Iranian news agency explaining why he should be elected president. The letter suggests that the Bush administration's objectionable behavior toward other nations is to blame for many of the world's problems. "Sadly, we are also painfully aware of how the actions and attitudes demonstrated by the U.S. government over the past three years have threatened the goodwill earned by presidents of both parties over many decades and put many of our international relationships at risk," the Kerry letter says.

Ever since the Iranian Revolution occurred during Jimmy Carter's presidency a quarter-century ago, Tehran has been hostile to the United States and one of the world's leading supporters of terrorism — providing funding, weapons, training and safe haven to groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and even al Qaeda. But Mr. Kerry seems to believe that the crux of the problem isn't Iran's despotic, violent rulers, but President Bush's behavior toward them.

The story is incredible, the coldness in John Kerry is beyond my capacity to understand. The fact that it appeared in the liberal NY Times should give Kerry cause for concern.

The NYT is starting to get worried that he might win. The Clinton crew is requiring these articles to cast doubt among the faithful.

Was Kerry the first out of the capital building? Since he said he "couldn't think" after it happened. Was he the first to get out when the capital became a target?

The Dem's will spin this that Kerry can keep calm in the immediate face of danger. That Bush sat in a classroom with kids and did nothing.

Just watch the spin.

Kerry was clearly for the war, before he was against it, and then for it, and then against it. Can't help but wonder if the Clinton's are channeling through Pinch in his subconscious.

Was this before or after he and some other senators were sitting in the office unable to think for 45 minutes between the 2nd plane in the towers to the Pentagon plane?

This guy lies even when the truth will do. I truly this this guy is a compulsive liar. So what does he do? He accuses Bush of lying every day about something new. Projecting - just a little bit.

I clicked on the link and began to read the article, and it doesn't read like a hit piece on Kerry. The article is very convoluted and full of Democratic spin and I gave up by the third page. But the thrust of the article is anti-Bush.

Bingo. I'm doing research on a group coming to my town Monday for Kerry along with Madeline Notsobright. Read this blog of the liberal wing of Military Families.

Like George Costanza, I'm sure Kerry was just trying to clear the way for the others.

...he doesn't really believe we are really at war.

If he professed otherwise, then there goes his political agenda for change, thus losing his opportunity to be slam dunked in a landslide election after a political race for POTUS.
