This was mostly all done in the last month. I wanted to keep tabs on the stickers. So far so good, but I live in a GOP area too. It could be much worse in Ingham County though than what I've seen.

Everybody needs to get on the Bush express now. Time is running out to be with Bush and the winners on November 2nd.

Keep on counting, here in central Pennsylvania, I have handed out over 465 Bush/Cheney bumper stickers or W 04 stickers. Only found 28 people to put on a free flush the johns. bush 04 sticker.
I purchase them myself and hand them out free whenever I can. Every little bit of help works.

Should mention this. Two Bush stickers were on Florida Cars (One Manatee County)
One was on an Indiana Car.
One Virginia(probably campaign worker)
I also didn't count cars at party events.

Bumper stickers are running about 4-1 for Kerry here in NJ.

I am seeing loads and loads of yellow ribbon shaped "support the troops" stickers. I understand those are Bush supporters who choose not to have their cars vandalized.

We took our daughter apple picking today in Western Massachusetts.
House that had pick-up trucks, with company lettering on the sidein the driveway, you know, people who actually have to work for a living, had Bush yard sighns.
Houses that had Saab's and Volvo's in the driveways had Kerry sighns.

But Kerry supporters don't tend to own cars they either shuffle along in the ditch mumbling to themselves or they ride the bus. And it takes a lot of bumper stickers on cars to outweigh one sticker on a bus ;-)

Thats a great survey. Would love to see one as detailed as yours here in the FL Panhandle.
I've noticed along with your observations about Volvos, most of the older homes (historical society type) are mostly Kerry/Edwards supporters.

Here in Ann Arbor, as expected, the Kerry bumper stickers still significantly out number the Bush ones. However, I've seen a definate increase in Bush stickers. I was even in the drive-up line at the bank and the 2 cars in both aisles each had a Bush sticker.

I live in Macomb County area of MI which is a suburb county in Metro Detroit. I have seen way more Bush stickers than Kerry stickers. But the only way those stickers/ signs get out there is by volunteering for the local GOP or victory centers. A great idea is to get a bunch of signs/ stickers and hand them out just off large church property. By law, you have to be off the property or they can lose their tax exempt statues. This election will be close--- so we need our workforce!! And it does make a huge difference.

Dan, speaking on the subject of signage have you seen these giant roadside signs (maybe 4'H x 6'W) that say "Sportsmen for Kerry?" I'm at my cottage in Montmorency County this weekend and they are all over the place, and it is republican territory although sparsely populated. You can't help but laugh and stare, it was kind of a shocker as I have not seen them before today.
I'll get it is the union thugs up on hunting excursions...

Glad to know I'm not the only one who counts stickers! I've been counting for about a month here in Florida. I live in Orlando, so most of the count is from that area, but I make frequent trips to the west coast (St. Petersburg) and count the ones on the way there and over there as well. I count only candidate stickers or anti-kerry or anti-bush stickers. And not at campaign events either. Bush 75 Kerry 56 hehe Yesterday, on a trip to St. Pete, a pickup truck with a Kerry sticker, anti-bush one, and a Code Pink one passed me and purposely slowed down in front of me to show off his stickers since I have a Bush one. We got stuck in traffic several times together and kept having to pass each other. I only saw about 3 Kerry stickers on the way, and about 15 Bush ones, so he was very outnumbered!

We have an entire street with Kerry signs in Utica. It is such a pity.
I like this line...
"Okemos leans democrat with a lot of soccer moms, students, professors, and state workers"
WOW are you being kind to Okemos!!! My BIL and SIL live there and I have never seen a bigger group of flaming liberal, elitist in my entire life!
When we went to Mackinaw Island this summer, I remarked to my hubby that I did not like it because it was nothing but "Yuppies Going Shopping". At just that moment a girl with an "Okemos Golf League" shirt walked by.
We looked at each other and broke into hysterics!

I was at the U of M football game yesterday and when I drove through AA there was a lot more Anti-war anti Bush signs then even pro Kerry signs. Not many BC in the yards, but at the game mostly BC stickers. The CR at Michigan do a good job at the games. Also I saw one of the vendors at the game have a yard sign that I haven't seen before. It was orange and black with a jack-o-latrn saying " President Kerry, Now thats Scary"
btw is there a website to look up where BC victory centers are.

I drove from Grand Rapids to Southfield today (Southfield Exit off 696) and was surprised to see more Bush bumper stickers than Kerry. I didn't count though, so can't provide numbers. In addition, I saw 2 Bush billboards, and 4 or 5 large Bush signs on property along the expressway. No Kerry billboards, and 1 lame Sportsmen for Kerry big sign.
Since you seem to know Michigan well, I wondered if you had any comment about a Kerry mailing I received today. It was addressed using my full name, the only mail I get like this come from Michigan, where I went to school. Do universities sell mailing lists?
