Bush should point out again - LOUD AND CLEAR - that this is NOT his policy. Indeed, with Bush as our military's proud Pres. - no need. They are enlisting and re-upping in far greater numbers that under Clinton, who they hated - and were bailing out in record numbers.
BUT
bush should say, "Obviously, the democrat's think the draft would probably be necc. That indicates they would probably do it. We believe that an all voluntary - read "wanna be here" military performs much better than someone who has been given no choice. But evidently, the democrats lean towards a draft - well, just look at the reality. Two bills sponsoring the draft. Both bills written by Democrats and all the sponsors who signed onto the bills are - you guessed it - democrats. I think the American people are smart enough to know when they're getting snookered."
