Another issure to bring up with ABC is how, immediately after the broadcast, Peter Jennings jumped all over the fact that W did in fact own a lumber company. Wish I had it on tape, he went after it like a shark to chum. I'm willing to bet that they had a heads up that Kerry was going to use it in the debate. They even got it wrong just like factcheck.org did.
IIRC when a President takes office all of his financial holdings are put in a blind trust and managed for him.....Bush may not have even been aware that he owned interest in a lumber business.
But if they really want to get into "business connections" take a look at the Heintz-Kerry connections.
Personally I think the Pres. walked into that one. During the VP Debate, Edwards brought it up and it went unchallenged. The Pres' people should have known it would be brought up again. If the Pres. didn't watch the VP debate, you can be sure his political advisers did.
