You're right. Is he that shallow that he would judge people's wealth by their clothes ? Or maybe he was looking at their hair and thinking "Hmmm, sure doesn't look like one of those $1000 haircuts I get."
If I get a Christophe haircut, I'll send Kerry a check for the difference. <sarcasm
I think it's the shoes. If your shoes can't be spotted from yards away as Italian, you're a piker earning $199K or less. Sure glad Bill Gates wasn't in the room; he would also have never passed Kerry's "Global Snob Test."
And don't forget he knows what it costs for a Botex job.
Probably insulted Theresa with that comment too. Since he didn't name her in the group affected by the tax cut, he obviously didn't think SHE looked like she fit the image of wealth.

Ole Johnny sure would have a hard time up here in Maine where guys like Steven King sure don't look the part. sKerry comment was pretty stupid and hopefully the Dem talking heads will have to explain it. Imagine if Bush had said anything close?
A man who has never run a business and created his own wealth has no intellectual equipment to judge wealth in others. I see this in my profession, the trust babies are clueless to the small business owners' actual net worth. They think if a man doesn't drive the correct luxury car, he must be struggling.
Entrepreneurs make good money when they work hard, but they are too busy to acquire the trappings of obvious wealth. Kerry is a snob geek who cannot buy his way to cool, and it KILLS him.
I want to know who is paying for Mama T's hair do's. With all that money, you would think she could buy a comb or something.
Very arrogant! He probably does not even recognize his statements were offensive. What a boob!
