The first report from St. Louis is in - and presidential candidates Michael Badnarik (Libertarian) and David Cobb (Green Party) were just arrested. Badnarik was carrying an Order to Show Cause, which he intended to serve the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). Earlier today, Libertarians attempted to serve these same papers at the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the CPD - but were stopped from approaching the CPD office by security guards.
Fred Collins reported to me from the ground that Badnarik and Cobb are in great physical condition and great spirit.
As soon as more details are available, they will be posted here immediately.

If he wants attention he has to get arrested and then go on the Art Bell Show. Funny, neither the RNC nor the DNC nor the big news media will give him the time of day. The "Big Four" just had their 10/6 debate rebroadcast on CSPAN. Wonder why none of the LP'ers here are talking about it. I guess just no one is interested enough to watch it.

Libertarians believe fully in people having their own beliefs. If you want to erect a 12 story high copy of the 10 Commandments out front of a courthouse... feel free to do so.Just don't do it on goverment property, per the LP platform.
To: WildTurkey
It appears from this statement that the LP proposes that government NOT allow any religious symbols on government property...
Keeping private individuals from putting up their religious symbols would be an attack would it not?
Stop trying to read in something that quite clearly isn't there.

Considering the LP stance on "government" owning "property", that would be quite a trick. Individuals own property, not collectives.

Neither do I want my tax dollars going to put your crucifix idolatry all over the place either.I resent your putting in your post your 'assumption of fact' about my religious preferences.

Nobody but the RNC, the DNC, and the big media would watch a rerun of the debate. Everybody else--even political science majors--have something more productive to do or can't stand any more pain.

If only an individual can own property, I guess Soros would own the White House and the Supreme Court building, right? For some reason, this does not quite seem feasible.

What did you find painful in that debate? Was it when the Socialist guy got up and shook hands with the LP candidate? Or was it the Constitutional Party candidate that got up to shake hands with the Socialist Party guy?

The "Big Four" just had their 10/6 debate rebroadcast on CSPAN You must be referring to another debate. Who are the Big Four? I assumed it was cnncbsabcnpr.

You Libertarians just don't have a clue, to think allowing youths to engage in drug use and sex will in some way alleviate the social ills of the day is at best asinine. Like I said , enjoy your 1% status, and remember the Libertarian Party motto; " Give me Librium, or Give me Meth"

Like I said , enjoy your 1% status, and remember the Libertarian Party motto; " Give me Librium, or Give me Meth" Yes, becuase your way has done SO much better. What with teen pregnancy rates still at catastrophic levels, the easy availability of said drugs even with the billions spent on your drug war. If the libertarians really were as you say we'd be advocating for your side.
How about holding people responsible for the damage they do to others? Instead of all your excuse making and social programs? Is that too radical a concept for you to wrap your mind around? Or will your blind hatred of anything Libertarian not let you seen the sense of it?

I resent your putting in your post your 'assumption of fact' about my religious preferences. Then feel free to correct me and an apology will be forthcoming. As you have no profile page and have a brand spanking new sign up date, it is hard to tell who you are.

You are right he has no chance of winning. Still, does that mean his voice is so threatening? Make him look like the kook he is on national TV. Just don't frigging censor it.
Sure, but first the kook will have to point out the chapter and verse in the Constitution which states he has a right to be heard in a Presidential debate.

Oh, sorry. Maybe the Commission on Presidential Debates asked the same thing of Mr. Badassick.
To: Cultural Jihad
Do you have a point? Or should we just skip all the intervening steps and get right to calling each other names? You certainly have never made a lick of sense before, nor have you ever been able to maintain a cogent line of thought for more than three words.
A scripted set piece using only two of the top five Presidential Candidates using public money is no debate. More of a mutual masturbation session than anything else.
Is your particular ideology so screwed up that it can't stand in the face of real opposition?
