"I remember someone suggesting that GPS devices be given or implanted in inidividuals or military decoys in these high risk areas, and then when they are abducted, the miliary could hone in and wipe out the bad guys. Makes sense to me. I wonder why this isn't being attempted ?"

I see your point but most people wouldn't want that kind of privacy invasion. Plus they don't want to believe it could happen to them.

The GPS idea came from a friend of mine (not a FReeper).

Yes, I totally agree, we do not need GPS in ordinary life or locations. I only meant for individuals in the high risk areas of Iraq. It sure beats being captured and slaughtered.

The GPS would lead military to the hideout, where these horrible human beings that do beheadings could be cornered and wiped out. And, if the civilians do not want the GPS, why aren't we using military decoys?

These abductions also show how little the terrorists care about their own people. Westerners are there helping to rebuid. The fewer individuals willing to go into Iraq and rebuild, the longer the Iraqi people suffer. And, let's face it, how many people are willing to risk beheading for a paycheck?
