Trying to remember the name of that drug from years ago that we imported from England...caused dreadful birth defects.

Actually we never approved or imported Thalidomide. Some American women who had gotten it overseas had phycomelic(?)babies born here, but the U.S. had far fewer cases than Europe and England did.

One instant where the FDA's slow approval was fortuitous.
