The way Drudge has it worded it is difficult to tell what the context is, but since this is ABC it's probably meant as a Liberal hit job against Bush. I'll be plesantly surprised if otherwise.

The controversial internal memo, obtained by DRUDGE, captures Halperin stating how "Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win." Halperin claims that Bush is using "distortions" to capture victory. "The current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done," Halperin writes.

Nope - more Bush bashing - Bush's distortions are worser than Kerrys so go after Bush.

The national press is nothing other than the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

I think when you read this from Drudge, there is no doubt.

ABCNEWS POLITICAL DIRECTOR MEMO SPARKS CONTROVERSY: 'BOTH SIDES NOT 'EQUALLY ACCOUNTABLE'

**Exclusive**

An internal memo written by ABCNEWS Political Director Mark Halperin admonishes ABC staff: During coverage of Democrat Kerry and Republican Bush not to "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable."

The controversial internal memo, obtained by DRUDGE, captures Halperin stating how "Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win."

Halperin claims that Bush is hoping to "win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions."

"The current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done," Halperin writes.

Halperin's claim that ABCNEWS will not "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable" set off a sparks in St. Louis where media players gathered to cover the second presidential debate.

It doesn't matter to me. I'm voting for my great cowboy President Bush. I am truly tired of the pre-debate debates and even the after-debate debates. So I'm going to bed now. It's been a long day. I'll get my information tomorrow about this debate from the best, informative source - Free Republic. Good luck President Bush!

I believe the entire email is up there now. No mistaking the context there. He is ordering a "media hit" on the president.
