The GOP understands the 14th Amendment and equal protection under the law. Why is killing a queer just murder if you're gay, but murder AND a hate (read: thought) crime if you're not?

Why do queers and other members of politically noisy groups get special protections when your basic American gets plain old protection?

"Hate Crime" laws punish people for 'hate' as the motivator for their crimes.

So all you folks who want to kill minorities just remember to make it look like a robbery and if you get caught be sure to tell the police you did it for the money. You'll still fry, of course, but they won't convict you of (gasp!) a HATE CRIME.

The whole 'Hate Crime' thing is meant to eventually extend the range of crimes to speech as has been done in Canada where preaching portions of the Bible, the Torah, the Penteteuch are punishable by law. Of course, the Queer'an has passages about killing just about anyone and that's perfectly legal.

I guess this means that I can still openly read and discuss the Bible w/out fear that fat Teddy will have me hauled off to the klink for engaging in "hate speech."

They should be removing such "hate crime" laws.

I went on his site and e-mailed him, here's what I sent him. I say we all e-mail him, in fact, lets crash his site!!!

Hey, Ted,
Lookin' gooood! You sure are kickin' some ass in Senate out there in Washington. Anyway, I was wondering, since the Hate Crime Bill didn't pass, you said you would bring it back and back until it passes. Do you think you could modify it so it can articulate that almost anything done to everybody is a hate crime unless its done to a white, male, Republican? Anyway, great talkin' to you, gonna go out for a swim now.

Thanks,
A 1st Generation American and a Son of An Immigrant

All violent crimes are crimes of hatred. Why give any of them special treatment?

Specter and Hatch need to be sent packing.
I mean it.
We can lose Specter cuz we're gaining Zell Miller's seat.

If it infuriated Senator Hiccup, there must have been something in there about not prosecuting those that have let others drown.

The measure, which the Senate attached to a defense authorization bill

So what was this garbage doing in a defense bill to begin with? Oh, nevermind....Washington DC.

Kennedy suggested that President Bush is "worried about his right-wing base" in the coming election: "The implication is obvious that the White House sent word to its Republican allies in the House -- block the hate crimes provision, even if blocking it denies the clear will of the majority."

Kennedy called it "heartening" to know that Sen. John F. Kerry may soon be president - and he said Kerry would sign the kinds of hate crimes measure that Republicans rejected.

Sorry Ted, Waffles isn't going to make it. Go have another beer. We'll let you know when it's time to vote.

For sure. I've told others here that I am voting for the democrat instead of Specter, at least the democrat is honest about being your opponent, unlike specter.

Your listing of Tom Jeff's proposed penalty for sodomy adds nothing to this topic.

That being said...

Let's see...Democrats are in the minority in the House. They are a minority in the Senate. No hate crime legislation has ever -- to my knowledge -- been the result of a popular vote.

What "majority" is Druncle Ted talking about?

A very narrow minded assessment.

What GOOD NEWS! Praise the Lord!!!!

Once again, the triple plague on America--the filthy and disgusting "gays", the off-the-wall feminazis, and the hypocritical and imperialist "human rightsers"--attack us in our culture, our faith, and in the basic structures of our society. This time, they have been thrown back. But they have won all too many victories in the last several years, and will try again and again until they have acheieved complete domination of America and the world!!!

As shown in this article, the "human rightsers" and their paid cabal in the Senate not only defend the filthy sodomites, but also the fifth-columnist islamist mosques that undermine us from within, preaching mass murder against "Jews and Crusaders" and using "hate crime" legislation to outlaw any criticism of their nefarious activities. The REAL truth is that international "human rightsers" like Soros use the islamists to do their dirty work, both at home and abroad, just as they use the "gay issue" to destroy the cultures and identities of Christian and Jewish peoples. THIS MUST NOT STAND!!!!

The leading edge of the "human rightser" attack on America is the Soros-backed Kerry campaign. The tactics of Kerry's supporters increasingly include "dirty tricks", threats, violent "demonstrations", theft, and arson. I myself was subjected to a spam attack of bogus e-mails (sent to my business e-mail address) purporting to be from our President, but containing Soros/Kerry propaganda about Bush's record. Bush/Cheney signs have been stolen from the neighborhood where I live.

This "campaign" is increasingly resembling the vicious disruptor activities of Soros-backed "pro-democracy" groups that were used to take over the governments of several Eastern European countries. THIS TOO MUST NOT STAND!!!!

There is a law that on the book already that pertains to almost every area of our life. Beating up a person of another race, gender, culture or sexual preference does not make assault any less of a crime. These laws already exist. It is illegal to assault another person except in defense of one's person or defense of a another person.
