Good call on the possibility of PS. Wonder what would cause the reddish color, though... Red Regrind PS flake from a plastics manufacturer would fit the bill. Flake would dissolve in the gas a lot better than the PS pellets from the same place because of increased surface area.

Gasoline is a hazardous material, which can only be transported and disposed of by a few contractors. Costs can range from $200 to $700 for disposal. Good Grief, I will get rid of that "bad" gasoline for them for just $150.00 each car.
I'm in the wrong business it seems.

This sounds like sabotage Yes, that was the first thing that crossed my mind as well. ELF has had a campaign in CA to cause destruction to environmentally symbolic targets. They have torched SUVs in dealer lots in SoCal in the past. This is just targeting automobiles in general.
