This is the first time since 1918 that the Red Sox have had a chance to end a postseason series in Fenway.

Game 6 (September 11, 1918), Boston up 3-2 after 5 games. Carl Mays with the 2-1 win over Cubs pitcher Lefty Tyler to conclude the World Series.

I believe Boston beat the California Angels in Game 7 of the ALCS at Fenway in 1986.

Are you sure about this? That would be an amazing statistic considering the number of times the Sox have been in the postseason since 1918.
