My hometown paper, the Dallas Morning News, has just had a big layoff. Readership is down, duh. Now, if they carried the people I actually like to read, like Coulter and Horowitz, I would probably still be getting their paper and they would not have to layoff all a sizable portion of their staff. But, they prefer to run with people who hate my guts and spend most of their time trying to shove it in my face.

I hear a bell tolling, and it's tolling for leftist rags.

My paper has stuff off the AP wire, if that is the term I want, on the front page! Now, the paper is called "conservative" by the Birkenstockers. The rag may have a Paul Greenberg op-ed piece, but the paper is in the main crypto-Marxist. I don't even think that the publisher understands this. Once a citizen has analyzed just how the anointed slant stories and parse words, almost all newspapers smell to high heaven.
