Iraq made almost 20,000 liters of botulinum toxin, much of which was placed into munitions and missile warheads. ...Botulinum toxin: Botulinum toxin is the most poisonous substance known - the average man would only have to inhale about 70 billionths of a gram for it to be fatal. Eighty percent of victims die within 1-3 days of being infected.... A person with botulism would exhibit weakness, dizziness and disinterest within the first few days after exposure,...Abrupt respiratory failure is usually the cause of death...Iraq declared that it produced 8445 liters of anthrax, and inspectors determined that at least three times this much could have been produced with the equipment and growth media Iraq had at its disposal....One gram of dried anthrax spores has been estimated to contain about 10 million lethal doses

I am always surprised to hear people say that these weapons are easily moved or hidden, yet still insist that invading Iraq was an effective countermeasure to them.

You need refrigeration for the bot toxin. You can have fairly small seed stocks that are then put in larger vessels to grow. It seems that the Iraqis had trouble weaponizing the toxins they had.

US scientists have determined that the anthrax in the letters received in the United States came from the Ames strain, which was discovered in Iowa in 1980.

Interesting time line. Someone should ask Jimmy Carter about which strain of anthrax he gave Hussein.

08/14/80 (20 each), Ministry of Health for College, Bacteria/ Fungi, not further identified 09/11/80 (45 each), University of Baghdad, Bacteria/Fungi/ Protozoa, Virus/Viroids (15 each), not further identified

We can't find the biological weapons for one reason: This is President Bush's fault! John Kerry and John Edwards have a Plan to find the biologic weapons Saddam Hussein didn't have.

If it was the case that the chemicals found by the Jordanians was weapons grade material then it would have been breaking news via the Pentagon and especially the ISG. The Jordanians recovered vast quantities of off the shelf chemicals and pesticides, but not weapons grade nerve agents. Jordan would have given the US full access to the chemicals found for testing. Not one Pentagon report has come out that any of those chemicals found was weapons grade chemicals from battle field weapons. If it was the case then President Bush or Rumsfeld would have been broadcasting it to the world.

What you say makes sense except for the fact that I can't name any "off-the-shelf" blistering agents, nerve gas or choking agents. Can you?

The bugs for a biological WMD program could have been put on dry ice or in liquid nitrogen in a couple of coolers and driven in the back seat of a car to Syria. I have grown bacteria that were lyophilized (freeze-dried) 20 years earlier.

You are reading from a report written by a journalist. If you hadn't already noticed Sarin nerve agent was produced by that Japanese cult and used in the subway attack in Japan during 1995. The Jordanians released footage video footage of a home-built chemical factory near the city of Irbid, Jordan. The Jordanian authorities also conducted a test using the same combination of chemicals that they recovered. The test involved rabbits located downwind of the chemical bomb exploded. This test explosion produced a toxic cloud which killed the rabbits placed downwind. With enough pesticides and other commercially bought chemicals a locally effect chemical bomb can be constructed. Believe me if this was weapons grade nerve agent the the US and ISG would have been all over it like a flash and President Bush would have been informing the American public. If they had recovered a cache of 155mm primed chemical howitzer shells then we could all start jumping up and down, but this was simply a foiled chemical attack using a cocktail of commericial chemicals.
