Theresa LePore vowed to close the Palm Beach County elections office at 5 p.m. Monday, the final day to register to vote in the Nov. 2 election, but a young man who arrived about 15 minutes after the deadline managed to drop off 550 applications on behalf of a group of Muslims determined to oust President Bush

The fraud and corruption continues.
Gee! I wonder why they are supporting John F-ing Kerry?
Imagine what THAT group might do if they don't get their way!
She should have thrown them back at him. I know that President Bush will WIN this election but I am very fearful that the Dims and all of their cohorts are going to STEAL this election.
There is a chance that the news of this might backfire on them and they'll lose more votes because of this than the number of registrations he turned in. Any Florida Freepers have any insight on this from the ground, that you can share with us.
The democrats and muslims are united to oust Bush.
Looks like LePore is an innocent this time out. She apparently reported these registrations as late. Sounds like the guy who brought the late registrations was using the usual intimidation tactics.
I return to a point I made the other day: American Muslims are for Kerry by a supposed 80-9 percent margin. The Democratic National Committee proudly touted a poll showing Jewish Americans for Kerry by a 75-25 margin. To me, this is about like a poll in 1860 showing southern planters and Northern Abolitionists both favoring Lincoln by huge margins: although the Demos can talk out of both sides of their mouth on the Middle East, if they get in power, which I fear is now likely, they've got to eventually take a position that one group will diametrically oppose. Who do you think it will be? The American Muslim population (and voters) is expanding dramatically and if the Demos are talented at anything, its counting votes.
LePore was the democrat who ran the 2000 election. She was defeated in the primary. She took all the heat for the butterfly ballot. Which the democrats created and approved for use in several elections prior to 2000. They won using it in the past. It's only when Jeb won, was it an issue.
I believe she became an independent citing harrassment at the hands of democrats as the reason. A google search turns up mostly hate sites from democrats.
You are so right. Why can't the Jewish Community see that Kerry will not stand with Israel at "crunch time"? I'm absolutely flabbergasted.
There is a website www.muslimsforbush.com that I believe is making some headway in trying to talk some sense to those in the Muslim community.
How about a "Vote: Get The Mulims Out" campaign?
That is my fear as well. Voter fraud may just save the day for Kerry. After all, the two johns have thousands of trial lawyers behind them, working to manipulate this election. We need to do everything we can to prevent this.
LePore, no stranger to confrontations, said the man demanded she accept the bundles of voter registration applications attached to slips of paper identifying them as having been collected by Voting Is Power, which goes by the acronym VIP and is an offshoot of the Washington-based Muslim American Society.
LePore said he showed up, carrying a box of applications, about 15 minutes after she locked the door to her office at 5 p.m. She said she told him her office was closed but he could mail the forms as long as they were postmarked by midnight that night.
But, she said, he wasn't satisfied and managed to slip inside the lobby when someone left.
"He started hollering about disenfranchising people," said LePore, who took the box after he thrust it at her...
"Then he started saying, 'You're all alike,' or something to that effect, and 'It's better in New York,' " she said. "And I said, 'Why don't you go back to New York?' "
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent miscellaneous ping list.
ping!
She took the box, but are they in the count?
