...Reagan beats Kerry Film, 'In The Face of Evil' is ... Hit On Opening Weekend Dallas ... In The Face Of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed, a controversial look at Reagan's victory over Communism within the context of mankind's continual fight against evil, including the current war against Islamic fascism, broke box-office records for a documentary by an independent, at its opening weekend on six screens in the Dallas area, averaging more than $9,000 per screen. In contrast, the opening weekend for George Butler's much-anticipated biopic on John Kerry, Going Up River, did less than one-tenth of that amount, - approx. $900 per screen - on its weekend rollout. Schweizer's book is widely credited with cementing the understanding that President Reagan achieved the final victory over communism through direct confrontation with the enemy. The Reagan film was featured Friday, as the debut film at Hollywood's first conservative film festival, the Liberty Film Festival, receiving a ten-minute standing-ovation from the SOR crowd. "The response in Dallas and Los Angeles has reinforced our belief that there is a big audience out there for this film," says producer Tim Watkins. "America remains Reagan Country and resonates with his steadfast message of courage, resolve and moral clarity. We think 'the Gipper' would be pleased." On September 29, In The Face Of Evil 'premiered' in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, SD at full-house events hosted by John Thune, .... ...scheduled for wide release in Texas next weekend, with a mid-October rollout, nationally. A V.I.P. premiere is slated for Washington, D. C. on Wednesday, October 6. ...written by Stephen K. Bannon and Julia Jones, is produced by Tim Watkins, and directed by Steven K. Bannnon, ... distributed through American Vantage Media's Non-Fiction Films. For More Information on In The Face Of Evil... visit www.inthefaceofevil.com.

MEGALOMANIAC - see John Kerry
Kerry does belong "up the river," I can agree with that.
Roger Ebert "missed" this film in favor of reviewing the Kerry apologetic. (Do they even mention the medal toss in that movie?). The Austin Chronicle (lefty entertainment rag) doesn't list it in it's reviews, either.
I'll catch it if I can find it!
