Anywhere in Texas ought to be good for you, except Austin, of course. We have no state income tax and the climate is warm to hot, depending on which part of the state you choose.

Where in Texas do you live?

I have though about Texas on more than one occasion and was sad to discover that Austin is the pinko capital of Texas.

What other parts of TX do you suggest? I prefer to be about an hour away from a major metro area.

I was in San Antonio two weeks ago. The city was nice, but the territory to the west something else again. Looked to me like prime horse riding country.

I bet real estate prices are up there with Southern California.

I live in Cedar Park, which is in the suburbs of Austin. We get to enjoy Austin, without having to live in Austin. The Texas Hill Country is the best region in the State.
