and I always post the same reply - show me wage statistics for private sector workers (no government employees, they always see salary increases) and remove those making over $250K from the stats to take away the concentration effects of executive compensation. then let's talk about what is happening to broad based private sector wages.

see this mornings jobs report? whose been more right then wrong here; you guys, or me, Willie Green and lelio.

You rarely, if ever, address counterpoints - except of course to throw in your obligatory whine about how people are slurring you.

Well Coop, I admit that the "counterpoint" you offered in reply #6 has me over a barrel.
You didn't slur me, and those Bush/Cheney bumper stickers are a concise summary of how the administration plans on handling this issue.
Who can possibly refute such a substantive presentation?
Your mastery of economic issues is absolutely awesome!

If you read the reference for this article you find that some economists think that 148,000 jobs will be announced tommorow. compared to 144,000 in August.

Looks like "some economists" were waaaaaaay off the mark.

Employment rises by 96,000 in September as jobless rate holds at 5.4 percent

You wrote this to someone else? Whoa!!

By the way, Willie, are you enjoying the Kerry poll numbers in the swing states? I bet you can't wait for his judicial appointments, can you? Or is it just his pro-union, collectivist friendly policies that you're enamored with? You truly are some conservative, Willie.

It doesn't matter to me, Joe.
Dubya handed the issue to Kerry on a silver platter,
Kerry doesn't have a viable alternative, of course,
but let Dubya worry about the polls, that's HIS problem, not mine.

I bet you can't wait for his judicial appointments, can you?

Do you think Frist and a spineless GOP controlled Senate will give them a rubber stamp approval? It certainly would be consistant with their "don't rock the boat, just crap on the conservative base" brand of "compassionate" conservatism.

Oh, I wouldn't call it mastery. Just open mindedness. It's quite a concept.

Well there's no such thing as a perfect vacuum,
but I'll have to give you credit for trying.
Keep up the good work, you'll get there some day.

I post about what I see every day - what I know is taking place because I see it, and have friends who work in technology who see similar things. how many jobs reports do we have to see, each with subpar performance, to know that something "isn't right".
