The Kilo-class diesel submarines have an endurance of 7,500 miles without refueling. Where did they refuel on their trip to New York and back?

You're assuming that the subs made a Iran-NYC direct trip. There's plenty of places along the way to stop for diesel. If they want to play it dangerously, most any ship could serve as a sub tender for at sea refueling.
