Very cogent advice.

Bush has to have simple, direct, easy to understand points that are NOT fall back phrases. Talk to us like we're having a conversation over the kitchen table over a late night snack.

And less pre-planned stuff in general. Just be yourself Mr. President. I saw a show on some of the old debates, and W debating with Gore, when Gore walked up all tough in his space and W just kinda shrugged and gave a quick nod gesture - absolutely beautiful.

THAT is the guy we need to show up on Friday. THAT is the George W. Bush that can beat John Kerry.

Round em up, W! BRING IT ON!

Phil,

Just visited your comments page--awesome.

Do you do your own graphics? If so with what program?

I'm new to graphics and am looking for advice.

Kerry was "resting" again today. I'm beginning to get suspicious of that.

He needs his rest. He needs that perky spirit again. Cocaine will get a man only so far.

On the domestic front, talk about the...

MISERY INDEX!

Yes, the real one, not the fake Kerry-Edwards (Tax Me!-Sue Me!) scam.

The Misery Index was the definition of domestic policy credibility of the past three decades.

But because it is so favorable to Dubya, it has fallen off the table.

Talk it up, folks.

The Misery Index is where it's at for the domestic debate.

KARL ROVE, WHERE IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU ON THIS?

NY Post (except for John Crudele, discussed in another thread) is rock-solid pro-Bush, Washington Times also great. The WSJ is the WSJ, if you can stomach their mass-immigration fetish, they're good.

While the Japan/Germany comparison doesn't mean much to anyone other than history buffs, it is interesting to note that the allies agreed to concentrate on defeating Germany first. It probably made more sense from a logistical standpoint, but Morris has a point about the "diversion" comment.

The new York Post is a Bush supporter normally..You must be referring to the Daily News.

He rests because he is confident that he has this election sewed up with fraud.

One more thing. When Bush is attacked on the domestic front, he should tell the viewers to familiarize themselves with their state and local leaders. For instance, California, home to the leftyist liberals in the nation, has a terrible environmental record, horrible taxes, a higher than normal murder rate...

Ping Bush on this!

The President, any president, is not King. The States still retain alot of power and people need to look to their elected officials on a more local level to understand why they can't find a job, why their children are not getting a good education, etc.

Man, these things tick me off!

It would not surprise me to see some sort of 'agitprop' protest display or audience disruption during the debate.

Even the right has fallen into the trap of raising the stakes so high for this event that we can expect Kerry and the Dems to pull out all the stops, and go for the kill. I thought Bush kicked ass the first time around.

Bush mainly needs to ignore Kerry, and speak to the people. This opportunity is much bigger for Bush than Kerry because he has fewer chances to get out his unfiltered message due to the media.

Bush might need to be careful about touting a lack of a post-9/11 attack, as Morris recommends, because that places his fate in the hands of terrorists and raises the incentive for a strike.

I think the VP showed us all how it's done.No more Mr. nice guy. Please no more complimenting Mr Kerrys long career in public service. It's time to take Kerrys long history of anti military, anti intelligence, peace at any cost pacifism and beat him to death with it.

Here's my tip:

When Kerry gives one of his long winded responses about being a uniter and not a divider, here's what I'd like to hear:
"My opponent's running mate said, just a few days ago, that anyone who votes Republican has lost their mind. How is this being a uniter? What he's saying is that half the country, more or less,(I hope more), has lost their mind. What are they going to say to those people if they win? Oh, you have you minds back now??? I have never, in all of my campaigning, insulted the voters of any of my opponenets. I keep my focus on my opponent.
