THANKS!!! Facts get in the way SO much, don't they?
What's scary is these people think they're right.

Facts are more elusive than opinions.
That's what makes FR great: so many voices joining in, demanding sources, exposing fallacies.
Collectively, the facts are separated out from the opinions and truth emerges. If the battles continue over a topic, as in the Kerry-debate-cheating incident, it is only because all the facts are not yet well known.

Has anyone else observed any trends at the fairs around the state this year? I was at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia earlier this year, I think it was end of August. At that time the stickers, buttons, hats and T-shirts I counted were 50/50 which upset me a lot. I believe that Missouri meanwhile moved noticeably more to the RIGHT side. :)

Hey! I enjoyed reading about TD1s encounter. I didn't go to our county fair but I did go to "Fourth Friday" which is kind of an artsy thing on Hay St. All of the new and interesting little shops stay open and there are musicians on some of the street corner. The Republican booth was always busy. The Democratic booth was not busy. I finally walked up the street by the Dems and was wearing my "Kerry Lied While Good Men Died" shirt with all sorts of anti-Kerry, pro-Bush pins. One of the Dem guys had to come check my shirt and pins out. He said he didn't agree with them but that he was able to disagree in this country. I agreed with him. Then I told him of my husband's homecoming with the rotten tomatoes and onions thrown at him. I also told him I could never support someone that the Communist Party of America supports. He didn't say a word after that.

May I volunteer to adopt Taxdeduction1 as my honorary godchild? I will donate to FR in her name! You have reared an awsome child!
In Vernon County, WI, the GOP/BC04 booth was busy, fun and 6 hours of volunteer work flashed by. Donk Country was dead as a wedge. We gave out tons of yard signs. Lots of BC04 stickers around the grounds. I personally saw 1 KE04 sticker all day. I saw no KE04 signs leave the tent.

Thank you! She said she would very much like a Godmother!
She even tosses Taliesin around as an higher education possibility. Any advice there?

I'm trapped up here in Indiana for another week and a half (and then I get to come HOME!!!) Last night, I was driving back to my hotel and saw a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker and a bumper sticker that said "Bush One person/One vote* * - Not available for all voters."
The license plate was a state special that said "Environment." It was OBVIOUS that the woman was EXTREMELY liberal. I pulled up beside her and looked over. Conservative women are certainly MUCH more attractive. So, I finally decided to just go on, instead of rolling down my window and yelling at her (which I thought of, but I've yet to do to any of those loser Kerry supporters.)
It was an SUV.
