They are terrified Cheney will run in 2008 (when Hillary wants a free ride). Didn't one of the questions in the VP debate deal with why Cheney was picked to run with President Bush? I thought in his answer Cheney said something about not having any aspirations for higher political office. IMHO I think VP Cheney will stop after a second Bush/Cheney term.
