I wonder if "W" tanked the first debate to give Cheney the opportunity to hammer the hairdo. The next debate...Friday night to finish the job before the Sunday talk shows. I know Rove and the boys are master tacticians. One cannot rule out the possibility of them playing the Lamestream Media "like a harp from Hell"

The more I read Fred Barnes, the more I like his fairminded approach to evaluating the debates and policy. He might be a right winger, but he calls a dumb idea a dumb idea and is honest about it.

Jack Germond used to have the same attitude on McLaughlin. Haven't seen him in a long time.
