I don't think they would be too worried. Look at Lon Horuchi for example: cold blooded murder of a innocent woman in an obvious setup scenario for the purpose of murder. Idaho and the county attempted to try him for murder and Fed maneuvering protected him. Any of his family or friends could have plugged him before or after his indictment. Nobody did, he went on to shoot more unarmed people at Waco where the military helped.
No, these guys are safe among their own and they know it. If their bosses can get rid of the 2A on a treaty pretext, a LOT of people are going to die, but I don't think there will be appreciable fragging in the ranks. Besides, they may be under UN command and subject to the international criminal court, thats what it's there for.
Let's do some pessimistic math:
If we have a one-to-one kill ratio with the confiscators...
...they will run out of LEO's before we run out of patriots. Even if it's a Waco-type slaughter, IF all members are combatants and take at least ONE JBT with them (a-la' the booby-trap-grenade-under-the-body-trick made popular by Red Dawn), eventually the attrition of the confiscators will overrun their training programs. That, and the best shooters and LE types will no longer desire to go into that line of work unless they got paid more. Such behavior on the part of the government would be both financial and logistical suicide.
That being said, While I'm getting on in years and not looking forward to dying, I'm also not looking forward to LIVING in a Tyranny, and would rather die on my feet a free man.
Rules 223 and 308 may need to be applied.
So what if they come for you alone? Take one out on your way to Heaven so you can stand before God and tell him you did your part.
Eventually, enough of these incidents will occur that the mainstream media will report at least one or two...
...and that, brothers and sisters, is when the flag goes up.
Where will you be?
I'll probably already be worm food, so you'll be on your own then.
Molon Labe - Pronounced "Mo-lone La-veh" and means "Come Get Them!"
Quoted from Thefiringline.com:
"Two little words. With these two words, two concepts were verbalized that have lived for nearly two and a half Millennia. They signify and characterize both the heart of the Warrior, and the indomitable spirit of mankind. From the ancient Greek, they are the reply of the Spartan General-King Leonidas to Xerxes, the Persian Emperor who came with 600,000 of the fiercest fighting troops in the world to conquer and invade little Greece, then the center and birthplace of civilization as we know it. When Xerxes offered to spare the lives of Leonidas, his 300 personal bodyguards and a handful of Thebans and others who volunteered to defend their country, if they would lay down their arms, Leonidas shouted these two words back.
Molon Labe! (mo-lone lah-veh)
They mean, Come and get them! They live on today as the most notable quote in military history. And so began the classic example of courage and valor in its dismissal of overwhelming superiority of numbers, wherein the heart and spirit of brave men overcame insuperable odds. Today, there lies a plaque dedicated to these heroes all at the site. It reads: Go tell the Spartans, travelers passing by, that here, obedient to their laws we lie.
We would do well to emulate those brave Spartans, who found a cause more dear to them than life itself.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest thing: The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war is worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares about more than his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
--John Stuart Mill
Are we men of principle and freedom? Or are we the miserable creatures who must be protected by those better than us?
We, and we each other alone, may answer that question, alone with ourselves at night.
I know my answer. Do you?
