Somewhere around 9:45 last night, Richard Cheney, vice president of the nation, turned and said to Sen. John Edwards, Democratic candidate, that he missed big votes in the Senate and had the worst attendance record. Cheney said that he sat as the head of the Senate and was there for practically every session.
Cheney spoke in a deep, dull, confident voice and said things like, "al-Zarqawi has been in Baghdad before the war and after the war." As if all this smoke and fire and reports of dead soldiers and dead babies are an illusion.
Now he said snidely to Edwards, "The first time I met you was when you walked onto the stage tonight."
Until this point, Cheney had attempted to become a sitting advertisement for smugness. He sat and threw out shadings and plain lies at times and tried to make it look reasonable. Edwards, the experienced trial man, was supposed to bury him and this was not happening.

Edwards said this with a sudden vibrancy and a controlled resentment and the rest of the night was his.
I don't know which of those is the funnier. I guess my favorite was his damning of Vice-President Cheney for voting against banning toy pistols. Although the other four were hilarious as well.
Just because you don't like Breslin or what he writes, it doesn't mean he is drunk. In any case, he probably writes better drunk than you do sober.
Edwards pounced. The pigeon pounced on the cat and the result was obvious.
NOT!
All Edwards did by making that comment was engratiate himself to the black voters, who will vote overwhelmingly for him anyway.
Edward's is a slimey lawyer who will lie, cheat, and steal to win whatever it is he wants. He is one of those things I avoid stepping in when walking through the cow pasture.
LOL
Chill
What surprised me the most was Pretty Boy's lack of control over his rapid blinking when confronted with the truth. After all that time being a scumbag attorney, you'd think he'd have that one down, at least.
Breslin can't write his way out of a paper bag.
He couldn't answer a question straight. He'd start yacking on about healtchare or whatever, using the debate as a stump-speech forum. That shows desparation to me, and an arrogant disregard for the rules. He did this in primary debates too.
Just to point out the obvious....Breslin gets PAID to write...it's his JOB.........and he ISN'T very good at it anymore, drunk or not.
I don't know whether Breslin is a drunken sot or not but he certainly acts, and writes and talks like one. He sort of reminds me of Teddy Kennedy with a New York accent.
For as long as I can remember - nearly half a century - this genetic liberal Democrat has been attacking Republicans.
he ALWAYS sounds like hes drunk or crazy....I go over there and post a lot and get dogged to death by his supporters HAHAHHAHAHA I laugh so much......he did a whole column on why he hates dogs and it was awful, a REAL look inside his soul...( he doesnt have one ) ...
yeah, its laughable to think anyone has this psycho in their paper MUCH LESS paying them.....shows you that they are all inbred morons who put out only what they all agree to say......
pUUU to him, ole drunk or crazy idiot moron
AHAHAHHAHAAHAHA
what a silly post... "I know you are but what am I" hahahahhahahah
peewee you've been here two years or more and still act this way.....shame shame
And on that note Cheney again handed him his ass.
Talked about the 600,000 dollars of medicare taxes Breck Girl avoided by using tax loopholes.
I really think Breck Girl soiled herself when the VP said that.
Edwards was gutshot by then and trying desperately to plug the holes. Breslin is a hack writer pouring the kool-aid for the sheep. If you have read any of his other "stuff", you would see that he even failed Creative Writing 101. Clear vision and talent do not appear in his resume.
