She asked a lot of tough questions of both Cheney and Edwards. She nailed Edwards on the French and Germans calling him naive

The best you can say for Edwards is that he is naive.

Yes, she did ask some good, tough questions of both of them, and I give her credit for that. For that reason alone she was vastly superior to Lehrer, with his "When did you stop beating your wife?" questions to President Bush, and his puffy little cotton balls that he lobbed so gently at Kerry. Still, she let Edwards get away with a lot of going over his time limit, going back to explain answers to questions that were already asked, going off on tangents not related to the questions, etc.

And letting Edwards get away with that despicable, underhanded ahot at the VP by using his daughter's homosexuality was inexcuseable. To his credit, Mr. Cheney handled that with far more class and dignity than I would have - I'd have come around that table and stomped Edwards into the ground.

In the end, though, it didn't matter - Dick Cheney demolished the Silky Pony.
