I wish I could do it justice, but here goes: Cheney HAMMERED Edwards on his poor senate attendance record, rattled off percentages of times of absence, said that the people of his state refer to Edwards as "Senator Gone," and finished up with, "As vice president I preside over the senate and I'm there on most Tuesdays. (Pause.) Tonight when you walked onto the stage is the first time I've ever met you."
Zing! Zowie!
The "Senator Gone" line actually came from an NC newspaper. My own opinion is that Edwards is not only not experienced enough to lead, he's actually got more experience at being a candidate for office than any job he's ever held other than Trial Lawyer.
