honestly the boston marathon is a huge event...if i ran it i would be able to tell you all about it ....and be happy as pie to do so. I def would know when i ran it etc. There shouldnt be a mix up of dates

You know who was in front and behind you when you hit the wall, you know how many people watched you after you looked around for a quiet place to puke. You know how much you appreciated your wife (in my case) or whoever it was that was your non-running partner for the event. Most of us just don't climb in our cars and drive away.
Of course I'm sure Kerry immediately climbed aboard his plane for a quick trip to Australia to perform in the America's Cup.
