PHOENIX - The state Democratic Party illegally took about $100,000 from corporations, the Arizona Court of Appeals ruled Thursday.

In a split decision, the judges said the donations violate state laws which specifically bar corporations and labor unions from influencing elections. The ruling, unless overturned, will require the party to refund the cash and bar it from taking similar donations in the future.

Can't imagine it would be an honest corporation that would have been involved in such a transaction. Scoundrels supporting scoundrels.

More illegalities - the corruption, lawbreaking is so abundant, we really have gone almost beyond the point of no return. Soon it will be our friends in the New Europe and the New Middle East Democracies coming over here to help us RE-ESTABLISH our Free (from Corruption and lawbreaking electioneering by the Dems) Republic!

If the only cost is giving the donations back, then why shouldn't they try to do this? The upside is a lot of money, the downside is no worse than if they didn't do it at all.

Maybe they should be fined 2 times the amount of the donations, and half the fine should go to the other party. That might be a deterrent

No wonder they bailed out of Arizona last month. After John Fing Kerry's train trip and a negative bounce, most of the operatives were moved to NV and NM.
