I have never before witnessed the seething, animalistic hatred of a sitting president at any prior time in my now 4 decade long life. Even when Nixon was on the verge of resigning, even when Carter was the king of depression and even when it was known that Clinton not only had sex with that woman but also either nearly committed or committed treason. This hatred is dangerous, and it may be like the hatred demonstrated by the Jacobins at the time of the French Revolution. I think Bush is too nice. The Constitution *DOES* allow for certain measures considered extreme, as part of the President's duty to uphold the oath of office. If bloody revolution is being planned, then it is time for extreme measures and failure to execute them would be gross incompetence. Have we grown so flaccid and liberal that we would not *UTTERLY CRUSH* revolution? If that is the case, then, beware the *COUNTER REVOLUTION*! Maybe Franco was not all that bad.

You can blame this new era of mendacious take-the-gloves-off, pitbull, go-for-the-jugular, win-at-all-costs vitriol on the Clinton slime team - Paul Begala, James Carville, and Syd "Vicious" Blumenthal.

Unfortunately, I fear things will never be the same. There is no such thing as civility in politics anymore. We're becoming a Banana Republic.

Execute the measures, or execute the perpetrators?

Or both?

I've got you by another 14 years, and I've never seen anything like this. But we've not seen anything yet; wait until W wins in November. We're not going to believe what happens on a national scale, G.

First, endless weks/months of court challenges.
Second, articles of impeachment.
Third, riots.

Buy more ammo...

Yes... Consider the FCC's inaction on obvious sediton by MSM outlets.. They(FCC) have a 280 million dollar budget(2004) this year for doing WHAT... 278 million last year.. Looks like the FCC is into staffing desks not policing the airwaves.. Those desks no doubt are filled by demotrolls too.. I say all that even knowing that sedition is vertiably LEGAL in the U.S. today.. should not be...

We are descending into nihilism. All the signs are there, from the defiance of our marriage laws, to this. Our enemies can see it, the Dems see it also, but don't care. They seem to relish it. But, it seems that it has also stirred the blood of those who love more than themselves, who love their country (and more). What comes next is uncertain, but may re-define (yet again) what America is all about. Bring it on!

The difference between Conservatives and Liberals is faith in the US. Conservatives in the past have lost elections, but we learned that the world does not come to an end. Life goes on until the next election. Conservatives have faith in the American people that they eventually will come around to reason and common sense. The liberals never had faith in the American people or the US political system. They think they hold the key to what is good for the common person. Now the average American does not support the tenets of liberalism. They are truly frightened about their future. When you are fearful, you become angry and will lash out violently when confronted with the prospects of losing power. I think we will have riots if GWB wins and I will not be surprised if a Dem activist attempts to shoot GWB if he wins.
