But the media has been enablers for the left for so long, I don't think they know how to change. Granted -- so if they will not (or cannot) change... let's replace them.

Its a shame that peaceful people can't be left alone to just enjoy our lives. If (God forbid) Kerry gets elected, we will be very disappointed but we won't act like a bunch of out of control spoiled brats.

I wish. If everybody would tune them all out, maybe bad ratings would do it.

Spoiled brats? Oh, you're way to nice. Try "we won't act like a bunch of out of control, foaming at the mouth, rabid animals".

In nearby Toledo Bush/Cheney signs have been run over in people's yards with cars; torn down & wadded up; & just removed.
How many stories have you heard about violence against Dems? I would wager...none. The Liberals have no morals why should they care?

(It's not that Kerry's cheating changed the outcome...it's THAT he cheated. Period.)

Well they'll just invent something. Or its because we don't have any issues to talk about.

Back in the 50's and 60's when I was growing up, we had two Democratic senators from Alabama. Jim Allen was one. John Sparkman was the other. Our area congressman, long dead now, and the US Army Reserve Center in my old home town has his name on it, Bill Nichols. Now, those guys were Zell Miller type democrats and why my Dad and family voted for Democrats. They were all strong military, strong for families, very anti-communist. I was always told the Republicans were the party of the rich and powerful and not the working man. I believe those guys would have been like Zell today. At least I hope they would have and not fallen off the socialist side of the bed.
As life has moved on and the left has taken over the democommie party of today, my family also left. As in left the democratic party. None of my family votes dems any more. My first cousin ran for sheriff in our home county. He ran as a dem. He won. But he did not get the votes of my family. They refused to vote for a dem. They voted for some guy running as a libertarian or independent. There was not republican on the ticket as I remember.

But if your budget is tight, a 12 gauge pump shotgun will suffice, and be about 1/4 or less as costly.I think a 20 gauge semiauto would do just as well, if not better. Less recoil for the inexperienced shooter to deal with, and almost as much lead; also, the semiauto action eliminates the chance of stress-induced short stroking.

They suspended him - with pay. I'm sure he's really feeling punished. He ought to be feeling, after the criminal and civil cases against him are seen through. The chair ought to push quite hard for those...

I was born in Chicago and have lived in the area all of my life. I have a friend who went into local politics in the area (at the village level). Although he is basically a Republican (in ideology and sentiment) he had to become a Democrat to get anywhere in local politics. He just wanted to have a say in what was going on in his village. I'm sure he'll be voting for Bush. Also, our Democratic governor (Illinois) has recently admitted he voted for Reagan.

It was probably some diverse, tolerant, open-minded gun control freak! - either way this is all Bushs fault!

There's nothing like a Louisville Slugger #36 to stop this right in it's tracks They are already shooting, albeit in isolated instances so far. Never bring a Louisville Slugger to a gun fight. Keep your LS, but have a gun as well.

If the Democrats steal the election through voter fraud and President Bush does not challenge the fraud, don't bet the farm or the family jewels on conservative Republicans remaining passive. One of the underlying concepts of our form of government is that of a social contract, depending on the consent of the governed through the popular vote. If the popular vote is ignored via voter fraud that is blatant, conservatives will not feel bound to that social contract. (With talk radio and the Internet, conservatives have effective mass communication, an advantage they lacked for decades. For them, the MSM's spin is irrelevant)
A combination of massive, blatant voter fraud by the Democrats and passivity by the Republicans will destabilize this country. Democratic hubris may well exact a horrible price. If they think George W. Bush is intolerable, how about an American Pinochet or Cromwell?

It's crazy out there. I've lived through numerous campaigns and I don't recall, although there may have been, this type of violence in the last weeks of a presidential race: the GOP HQ in Washington State (PC's stolen) and an eastern state (PA?) being broken into, and now this.

Post 167, thanks for including Gettysburg on your list -- the GOP Headquarters has been vandalized 3 times that I know of.
