An unknown suspect fired several shots into the Bearden office of the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign Tuesday morning.
The headquarters are located at 4618 Kingston Pike, next to Noveau Classics and in the same shopping plaza as Long's Drugstore.
According to Knoxville Police Department (KPD) officers on the scene Tuesday, it is believed that the two separate shots were fired from a car sometime between 6:30 am and 7:15 am.
One shot shattered the glass in the front door and the other cracked the glass in another of the front doors.
There were no witnesses to the shooting. A customer at a nearby dry cleaning store noticed shattered glass on the sidewalk in front of the headquarters and called police.
Volunteers and staffers at the campaign office say they have no clues as to who might have committed the crime. However, they add that the shooting makes them even more enthusiastic and energized about working for their candidates.
"If I have to sleep here (at the campaign office) now, that's what I'll do," says volunteer Suzanne Dewar.
In an unexpected twist, a bank directly across the street from the headquarters was robbed just as KPD officers were busy investigating at the scene of the shooting.
Wisconsin - swastikas painted on lawns of Bush supporters
West Virginia - 3 year old girl has Bush sign stolen by Kerry thugs
Ohio - massive voter fraud scandal with ties to George Soros' group and the NAACP
Texas - forged National Guard documents produced to smear Bush
Washington - Bush campaign HQ broken into, key computers stolen
Tennessee - Bush campaign HQ shot at
Does anybody see a pattern here?
True.
Bad dems on the loose ping....
He should get one of those swift boat stickers. There great. I would get one if I was a vet.
This sounds like a HATE CRIME to me!
You would think the Libs would be at least as smart as the terrorists, but sadly they aren't. The terrorists know if G.W. (backed by us) is elected they are toast. That attitude goes the same when threats are levied against us by Dems.
This terrorism isn't going to make us run and hide, and I'll tell you why. We have no place to run. We either fight or Die. Self-preservation is a powerful instinct. In part that is what is motivating their violence, but our advantage is that our thoughts aren't colored by emotional reaction. We're still capable of rational thought, they aren't.
That would reall make them mad. LOL
Ping to post 101. It's short but it's a start. Perhaps we can create a "Democrat Crime Wave" map to match it.
I am not crazy. Don't think it can't happen at your polling place. Don't think it can't be organized. Don't think it can't happen to you or your children. Election day could get ugly - please be prepared.
You are incorrect that the Knoxville, Tennessee area is mostly democratic. This is heavily REPUBLICAN territory.
Toby Kieth's bus shot at.
Thats right. I live in middle Tennessee. Bush country.
Election day could get ugly - please be prepared.
It's starting to get violent and there's still four weeks left to go. Ugly could be an understatement if the polls start to show a probable Bush victory.
Rush is talking about the meaness of Democrats, now.
Wasn't a window shot out at a PA. GOP HQ as well?
Happened here in WV, Huntington I believe, on primary night. A shot was fired into the Rep. HQ only this time, folks were present in the HQ. No blood no foul.

Was a Red Chinese assault rifle used?
A couple of others we can add -
Maryland - GOP supporter has had several Bush/Cheney signs on his property stolen and/or burned. Police arrested a democrat couple going aroound stealing BC'04 signs from yards.
Huntington, WV - GOP headquarters shot at on two occasions.
I lurk on DU sometimes and you just don't know the depth of their hatred for all Republicans. They are planning a major revolution if Bush wins. Its scary.
