I hope you'll pardon our preoccupation with the election that determines the future of our nation. I mean, we don't mean to be selfish Americans - it just happenes, and all we can really do is beg your forgiveness.

Hey, 25,000 soldiers, mostly Air Force, in a country from which you can easily reach the Med Sea, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, N Africa and Russia. In addition, it´s not too far from the States. Germany IS a strategic valuable country, and I wouldn´t say that if I weren´t believing it. :)
I just had a _hit fit, on Luth customer service they would not give me info about this.......
wifee was on trip to romania (left yesterday from wv), i scheduled her through frankfort on same airline company to keep her away from Paris, i didn't want her to spend a dime in france.
when report first came out it did not list flight number.
luckily they have since updated it.
Now, I'm glad i scheduled her return through Austria.

Don't hold your breath waiting for either candidate to say any of the above - it's an election year don't you know! And considering you don't know Kerry's intentions regarding the above (none of us do), shouldn't that make you a)the least bit curious to know and b)feel concerned that it may critically affect you if he is elected? How do you already know that this election isn't crucial to our US/Germany relationship when you have no idea what one of the candidates really stands for?
In sum, it does not matter in the least that it is a German airplane. Its destruction, especially over the Zionist Entity, would bring shame upon Bush and honor to the cause of Jihad.
They haven't, yet. I see Germany, a once proud nation being taken over by a bunch of wimps who would rather surrender than fight. I have always admired Germany, particularly the way they stood against the former Soviet Union. I see the Eurotrash ruining Germany, Belgium and other once great nations. It is very sad, indeed.
Yes, sure, you´re right. BUT, this is not an issue I should consider. If I were eligible to vote (= being American), I certainly would consider all you said. But I am not, and I -forgive me- don´t feel affected a lot by your taxes or military spending. This election is not so important that it would be worth to mention on a discussion about the forced landing of a Lufthansa jet on Cyprus by the IDF. Take care, and have a successful day on Nov. 2nd.

Since when are UN resolutions signed? However, the 1441 was accepted when Germany was not member of the UNSC. And as far as the oil for food scandal is concerned, you won´t find German representatives on that list. It was mostly a French and Russian thing.
Mhm. Kerry has lived in Berlin, and he says he wants more dialogue with his partners. I don´t think that this means the end of partnership. Seriously. And if it comes, I will spend you two beers. One for the lost election of Bush, and one for the end of the transatlantic partnership. ;-) I´m sure I will save my money. :-)

On Frerepublic, you don't have to use the word "partnership." You can use the accepted ter of "caving."
I don't want a president who partners with France, Germany and Russia, when they can't ally with us during our darkest days.

Excuse me, but have you noticed that we are part of the coalition in Afghanistan and the country with the 2nd most soldiers there (behind you).
Perhaps Germany should 'up' their own military rather than depending on the USA.
