Welcome to FR. Please excuse the greeting you've gotten so far - the number of trolls around here as of late has been huge. All newcomers are treated with suspicion in times such as these. Limited government republicans make up the bulk of the posters here, but certainly not all. We've got libertarians (big and small "L"), some Rats, some Buchananites, you name it. You'll get to know who is what.

Carry on. I was probably a bit too harsh with you, a seemingly decent chap, and that was poor form on my part, but so many folks post so many silly things about the tax code, about which they know little, except that they somehow think its all wired for the connected. That perception is largely wrong.

Here's a clue - when somebody is working to raise your taxes while they themselves pay 0.5% on their net wealth, they are your enemy.
Defending her is like your "beef cow" defending the butcher.

It's Mozambique, you know that big island off the African coast? If Mrs. Kerry was from Zimbabwe, her English would be much better, than it is, and her accent far less weird.

Actually, the big island off the coast of Africa is Madagascar.
Other than that, you're right - Mrs. Horsehead is in fact from Mozambique (southeast coast of the continent.)

The last line is a link to a more detailed discussion of Heinz-Kerry's wealth take a look. Every couple running for Presidential office has produced their 1040s since the 1980s
Why won't Heinz-Kerry? Does anyone believe that if George and Laura Bush where as rich as the Kerrys, the Liberal Media would not attach the adjective Billionaire to Bush's name

Well they were both Portuguese colonies, so whatever. The places even have sort of the same shape. And in a senior moment, when I thought of Mrs. Heinz-Kerry, I always thought of the island. My bad.

I ABSOLUTELY support the abolition of the IRS, but in the meantime, I have no problem with pointing out the hypocrisy of somebody who shelters her wealth from taxes while trying to raise taxes on my income.
I don't feel its the government's right to know how much money anybody earns or owns. If Mrs. Kerry shared my views, I would congratulate her on doing everything within her power to keep her wealth out of the hands of the government.
But she does not. And she's a filthy hypocrite for it.
Moo.

Do you think Municipal bonds should be taxable? Do you think there is an implicit tax on muni bonds? What is you view of the interplay of state and federal governments when it comes to the federal taxation of muni bonds? Do you think someone with a billion dollars investing it all in muni bonds, and paying no tax, is a tax scofflaw?
Is it not time to cut short the populist cant?

Yes, Mozambique was Portuguese. Madagascar was French. Zimbabwe, for the record was English.
But it's late. Everyone's tired.
I'm going to bed.
