I hope the profanity doesn't violate posting rules, but it certainly merits discussion.

NASCAR has their rules. The drivers know the rules. There is an image to be upheld, an image that is worth $$. Thus breaking the rules must have consequences.
To: cilbupeR_eerF
Until I read that post, I only believed the 2nd point... but it seems you are also right about the 1st. Gosh darn it.

They have to dock him points. They have done so to other drivers that violated this rule during this season.

This shows a definite lack of class.
Unfortunately that lack of class permeates society. Look around this website and you will see examples of the very same casual profanity.

Once again Mike Helton shoots himself in the foot by making a rule, and then finding himself in the position of having to chose between consistency or star-power. Good luck Mike, you really (bleeped) yourself on this one. Oooops, do you think I'll get docked any points by the Admin Moderator?

Jr has zero class, and I hope NASCAR makes him pay.

finally, a post that makes sense. thanks
To: craig_eddy
Yes Nascar has their rules, but Earnhardt is a favorite for a lot of tobacco chewin, beer drinkin, truck drivin, flag wavin....well you get the picture.
S*** is a normal part of their everyday conversation. Its becoming less profane I think.
Should NASCAR relax its restrictions? or no.
To: cilbupeR_eerF
He should have just quoted Theresa Heinz on them. Meaning's the same, and in all probability he'd avoid unnecessary friction.

Junior is busy trying to be a Kidd Rock. He's a good driver, but he is working too hard to impress the Hollywood set.

It occurs to me -- this bein' Talladega 'n all -- that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. needs a restrictor plate somewhere else.
