This poll was conducted by telephone Oct. 1-3 among a random national sample of 1,807 adults, including 1,470 registered voters and 1,169 likely voters. The results have a three-point error margin for the likely voter sample. ABC News and The Washington Post are sharing data collection for this tracking poll, then independently applying their own models to arrive at likely voter estimates. Can anyone explain this? 1,807 adults sampled Including 1,470 registered voters 1,169 likely voters
Doesn't this make 2,639 voters sampled?

That means out of 1,807 adults sampled, 1,470 were registered voters. Out of 17,70 registered voters, 1,169 were likely voters .
I assume the difference between the 1,807 and 2,639 is that some of the people contacted were NOT adult.

That said, this poll shows 80% of registered voters describing themselves as likely voters when history bears out that only about 60% voted last presidential election.
