My guess is that it's an honest mistake by Dr. Brian Birdnow in choosing a rather obvious title for his review, although both articles were published so closely together that one can hardly fault either author or editor for an inadequate title search prior to publication.
That being said, I must confess to a great sadness with Mr. Buchanan's current incarnation, which is a wholly different one than what I recall from "Right from the Beginning" and other essential works, as well as his innumerable television appearances of years past which truly helped me understand what Conservatism is and what it's all about at a time when I was just developing my ideological footing. His debates with those from the Left cemented Conservatism in my mind as the perspective of the rational, as opposed to the hysterical and emotionally-driven person. It appears as though he is slowly joining the other side, or at least a side that I simply don't find coherent in any way. I am very sorry to see him go.
Pat's gonna run as a Dem?
Looks like Professor Birdnow stuned Pat's beeber real good.
Why isn't this posted under humor? ;)
Pat Buchanan was Deepthroat.
Bump for later reading.
to quote rdb3's tagline: "how much are the Muslims paying Buchanan?"
Birdnow's "refutation" of Buchanan consists of a mixture of superficial denials of Buchanan's points and personal attacks on him.
Birdnow is a lightweight. I'd pay to see an eyeball to eyeball debate between these two.
Buchanan would disassemble this guy.
