WAY TO GO, Jason & Govindini!!!
This EXTRAORDINARILY SUCCESSFUL first annual Liberty Film Festival was created by...
...the AMAZIBG husband/wife team of Jason Apuzzo and Govindini Murty:
Jason Apuzzo
Festival Co-Director

Writer-Director Jason Apuzzo recently finished his debut feature, the film noir thriller Terminal Island . Jason was mentored in this project by Irvin Kershner (dir., Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back ). Jason graduated from the USC School of Cinema-TV in 2001 with an MFA in Production. Jason's USC thesis short, “San Pedro,” is the most watched student short on the internet over the last three years. Jason's mentor at USC was ©Academy Award winning sound engineer Tom Holman, inventor of the THX sound system. Prior to USC, Jason received his Ph.D. in Germanic Literature from Stanford University , and a BA in Philosophy from Yale University . While at Yale, Jason founded The Yale Free Press , one of the nation's first conservative college newspapers, and was elected Speaker of the Yale Political Union.

Govindini Murty
Festival Co-Director

Actress/Writer Govindini Murty came to the US to attend Yale University , where she received a BA in East Asian Studies. While at Yale, Govindini served as Chair of the Women's Caucus of the Yale Political Union, Vice-Chair of the Independent Party, and columnist for the Yale Daily News . Govindini recently acted in, co-wrote and executive produced the independent feature Terminal Island with her husband, Jason Apuzzo. She's also a film columnist for HollywoodRepublicans.com, and will be featured as a guest critic on AMC's “The Movie Club” (pilot). Govindini has been mentored in her film criticism career by Michael Medved. She's otherwise worked in film, TV, commercials and theater in Vancouver and Los Angeles . She played numerous roles as a member of the Long Beach Shakespeare Company, won a Best Actress Award for her role as Margot in “Dial M for Murder,” and has written eight screenplays.

Hello, RonDog:

I thought you might be interested in another conservative person, Agustin Blazquez, for other festivals you may have in mind. He was in the American Film Renassaince festival in Dallas, September 10. He is the director/producer of the documentary, Covering Cuba: Elian. I've written to RMDupree and Luis Gonzalez with regards to this information. This is Mr. Blazquez' email: abip.usa@verizon.net Silvina Castillo

Greetings from Radioactiveman. It was nice to meet you at last at the final event of the Liberty Film Festival which was a special presentation of the Ten Commandments with an introduction by Michael Medved. As usual Michael Medved made brilliant observations and commentary on the making of the Ten Commandments and the career of Cecil DeMillie. This was followed by a presentation of the movie itself which was a delight despite some technical problems.

Hopefully, this will become a BIG must-see event for the industry and I look forward to see you and the "freepdom" at the next festival

MOVIE REVIEW: IN THE FACE OF EVIL

Doug from Upland, FreeRepublic.com
Oct. 4, 2004

The Liberty Film Festival was a remarkable event held in West Hollywood, the backyard of the liberal elite. Experienced and new producers provided entertainment for an activist and very eager conservative audience. It is the audience that Hollywood has not only disregarded, but also insulted.

One of the standout movies of the weekend was IN THE FACE OF EVIL. For those on the left who have denigrated and mocked Ronald Reagan, this epic documentary is the answer that sets the record straight. Steve Bannon’s work is destined to be remembered as the definitive work on the man whose 45-year mission was to destroy the greatest evil of the 20th Century...
