I have been thinking about this a lot myself. When I first took the oath at age 18, I took it very seriously. Since then, I have taken it on several occasions as I was promoted. I dont remember any part in there about passing global tests or doing what the criminals at the UN want me to. This is a soverign nation, the leader of the free world. We should be considerate of others, but if we ruffle a few dictators or French socialists feathers in the process so be it. I dont work for them.

Exactly, took it many times myself 23 year veteran recently retired and I too took it very seriously, patriotic, if this country was ever of the opinion that the leadership would need to pass a global test before protecting itself then I very well may never have joined the service let alone felt patriotic in any sense.
