That is not the reason GW did not perform well.

But it is a reason for sKerry to perform better than one would expect, which would obviously foreshadow Bush's performance. A debate is a comparison, and generally, ad-lib answers tend to pale compared to a read, rehearsed speech.

Agree with you here. But even with that, it did not take info cards for GW to have the common-sense to bring up Kerry's 20 year awful senate record on National Security.

Wrong on the Gulf War, Wrong on the cold war, wrong on cutting funds to the CIA, etc, etc.

Yet GW never brought up any of these points. And if he needs info cards for this....then we are believing the Dem's that he really is dumb.

Which he is not!! - It was just a bad, bad performance.

And I never heard Kerry say anything all that smart to begin with!! - He simply didn't have to defend his voting record and that is why he won!
