Look at it again--
The President is seen clearly unfolding something--or, at least it's close enough to look that way. Watch it, without looking at Kerry.
I think this was a set up from the start, and SIMPLY NO ACCIDENT that this piece of footage was used. I think whoever put this out did this for a very different agenda than the one currently assumed.
Bush took nothing out of his pockets, just began writing on the paper supplied on the podium.
But my point was that Kerry obviously brought something into the debate. The president did not. Unfolding motions by themselves demostrate nothing. You really can't tell what the president is doing and there is no reason to suspect anything dishonest. But Kerry's unfolding motions have been recorded directly following his video captured retrieval of the same object from his jacket (something expressly forbidden). THat is damning.
The President lifted his pen off his podium and then took the cap off.
Are you blind?
I don't know what video you're looking at. Look at the slo-mo one. And yes, don't look at anything but GWB in slo-mo.
There is no question about it -- neither of his hands reach inside his jacket. You can tell even from behind.
