Animating letters is dull. What's cool is working things out using VT100 or other such sequences to produce animation that works at a reasonable baud rate (9,600 typically, or maybe 19,200).

OK then. Clearly I don't know much about art, at least not enough to be able to appreciate converting a video to ASCII and making the audio sound like something from Battlestar Galactica to appreciate it as art.
